About Me
Hello! I’m Trisha Ritskes, a mother of two, and happily married for over 31 years. I have been providing childcare in my home for over 22 years.
Throughout my journey, I’ve embraced a life dedicated to nurturing and caring for others. Transitioning from my role at Children’s Village of Ottawa-Carleton Mortgage Inc., I ventured into providing compassionate support for the elderly and sick.
My commitment to community service led me to volunteer for organizations like the March of Dimes, and Diabetes Canada. Education has always been a priority, evident in my academic achievements and ongoing certifications in first aid and CPR. Upholding safety standards, my husband, Sheldon, and I both maintain up-to-date criminal checks, ensuring a secure environment in our non-smoking home.
As a dedicated member of the Ottawa Public Library, I continue to seek knowledge and growth, embodying a spirit of lifelong learning and service.

I am located centrally in Ottawa’s Carlington neighbourhood with easy access to Harrold Place Park, Meadowvale Terrace Park, Bellevue Park, Raven Park, and Celebration Park. Additionally, I am conveniently located near the playgrounds at W.E. Gowling School, the Experimental Farm, Alexander Park, and Hampton Park.
On occasion, we take field trips on OC Transpo to visit various museums, Splash pads, or libraries. My home has a fenced-in backyard and there is ample parking on a crescent street with little traffic. I provide home-cooked meals and nutritious snacks according to Canada’s food guide. Come and join the fun! I provide peace of mind.
